Are you as unhappy as me?

My 07 is over 120K with no major repairs. Brake pads, tires, MAF, plugs, wiper blades, fluids - you know routine stuff. Oh, and seem to need to clean the TB & MAF frequently. Biggest trouble is that the rear window washer is inop - I can live with that.
So no real unhappiness here.

Those posts are funny. Just because you have not heard of the problem does not mean it doesnt exist. The 3.5 is known for a 3/5 misfire, caused by low compression in those cylinders due to bad / soft valve seats. It is not all of the engines, but enough that GM is repairing them out of the 3/36 warranty. I guess GM is wrong too?????? I guess the GM TSB 07123 / 07123A is wrong too????? It was such a problem that GM extended the engine warranty to 100K on those truck. Just Google "Hummer h3 valve problems". Come on, I was just trying to help the guy!!!!!! So my "friend" is NOT wrong and he is not a "closet Ford lover". LOL!!!! I guess the old Sun Tzu proverb holds true on this post: listen more, talk less.

Zombie, if you re-read you will see we are talking about 07 h3's which have the 3.7 engine. You are absolutely right about the 3.5. There is a special coverage adjustment for the 06's with the 3.5 from G.M. There are over 33,000 members on this site. If there is a major problem with Hummers you will find it here.

Quick question from a H2 owner, are most of these problems with the inline 5 cylinder models or the 5.3 alpha models? The 5 cylinder models have a number of known problems, like head / valve problems. I have a buddy who works for GM and tells me to stay away from the GM inline 5 motors (canyon / colorado trucks) because they area a mess. The V8 5.3 with the 4L60E trans is a reliable / proven set up from the 1/2 ton trucks.
I've reread the posts above yours a few times to try to understand the motivation for your question but most of the issues listed are independent of motor size.
Yes, there are/were 3.5's with bad valve seats, it was only used in the 3 for 1 year. Any of the other issues can happen no matter what engine size.
Sweet troll though.

Not trolling, but thanks for asking. I didnt find the TSB on them, but the 3.7's also had head problems in 2007 and up. Google it. They are throwing CEL's and engine codes for misfire. GM is also fixing them at no charge. I am done chiming or helping out on H3's (Colorados and Canyons).
