Default Yelow road paint on my H2!

Apparently, Penn Dot was painting yellow lines on the road yesterday and I must have driven on it. Well now there's yellow paint spattered in my wheel wells, door and sidestep. Does this come off?[:@]

I think you could try dozens of off the shelf things that may or may not remove it, but at what cost to your paint? That stuff is thick and permenate so if there is a hope, I would recommend a really good detail shop, or a body shop for advice.

I'm not sure about this, but I've heard it. ...............Call Penndot. When they are done laughing at you, they have or will tell you where to get a product to get the paint off.

try your local paint supply store, the one that provides paint for cars. i got some stuff when i repainted my Ghia that will buff, then a polish, that can take off just about anything when used by hand. it's made for finishing clearcoat, so won't damage yours. took tar and steel barrier paint off the side of the wife's car after my daughter was done driving it. be warned though, it doesn't remove dents (daughter's still paying for that one . . . .) it's great for water spots too. if i ever get a wild hair up my *** some day, i may even use it on the bus to clear up the trail pinstripes. nahhh, just jokin' . . . .

I feel your pain, I have done the same thing around 3 weeks ago but this was MODOT instead of PENNDOT I drove home and washed it immediatly. that did not work but with a little elbow work and about 3 hours later got all of those little pin dots off. After they dryed they really just flake off by using a finger nail.

Okay..I'm serious..

Try mineral spirits first, it won't hurt your finish only strips any wax...Adn there is a spray bug and tar remover you can get at any auto parts store..That should work too..May take a little elbo grease (I've never actually seen elbow grease, but I hear it gets used a lot)...Good luck and report back when your done.

Maybe I should just take it offroad and get it all covered with mud.
