XM Radio Renewal Game

XM Radio Renewal Game
Once again playing the XM Cancel/renew game.
1. They want full price because they won't extend my "promotional" rate for another year
2. I ask to have my subscription cancelled because "it is not worth that much to me"
3. They extend the half price offer for "one last time" so I will not cancel
Tired of the same charade every year, but it continues to work. On the other hand XM is just not worth any more to me than I am already paying, so if they call my bluff I will cancel. Any bets on how long after a cancellation that I will receive a "promotional" offer to re-subscribe?

There are two ways to look at XM/Sirius rates.
1. They must get enough suckers to sign on for "full" fee to make the charade worthwhile.
2. They chuckle at we who think we're getting deal because we're only paying 5X what it's worth vs 10x.
Same for OnStar.

I've had a SiriusXM subscription for the last 6 years. I listen everyday though and to me it's worth it. Of course, I bought the Lifetime Subscription for I think $400 at the time . I also have the app on my phone which costs me $3 a month, I wish I didn't have to pay, but it's minimal and I use it at the gym or anywhere else I want!

I have two vehicles with Sirus/XM. I pay a reduced amount because of the two vehicles.
However, for the last three years I have called and complained about certain things, both big and small and each time they have offered serious extensions for my yearly contract. I am now up one year no charge, out of three full years.
This seems like an OK deal to me and keeps me happy.
I also listen to Sirus/XM every day and when on long road trips and get tired, nothing keeps me awake better than their comedy raw channel.
Sirus/XM has had some troubles over the years getting enough subscribers. That was the main reason they combined companies. And they have to keep paying Howard Stern
