Just wanted to follow up on this, I went with new Dura Tracs 265/75/16 load rated C, what a big differance from the old stock tires...much better ride , way better handling, very little noise , and here is a strang one - I noticed that the problem with the front
end (lower steering bar) is all but gone, we had 95 degree plus days here so I would have felt it . Even though it was very slight before, I do not feel anything in the steering wheel or the peddels now with new tires running at 37 PSI in very hot weather. Just an observation...
Time will tell on wear.

fwiw, i traded an 07,lux, with 265's,56000. it gave 18, and 20 on trips.
my new 10 with 285's,at 1600 miles not quite 16.
i calculated the last 800 and got 15.9, not too happy but "maybe with more break in"!
wonder if its 285 s or adventure hdwe?, combo?

I've ran my 285 Duratracs for 5K miles so far and they are still my favorite tire ever. I'm still anxious to see how they perform in snow (not at all anxious for snow however).
I didn't notice much of a mpg change from the stock 265's but I run mine at about 30-32 psi, anyone else run theirs that low?

Here is a question that may have been covered before that I am unaware of. I know once you start putting on larger tires that the speedometer and odometer start to become slightly inaccurate. My stock tire is the 265, so would putting on a 285 or a 315 tire make any difference?
