Question Wow! could use some guidance....help pls.

Went ahead and cleaned the battery post on girl friends H3 (2006 84k miles) today.
She just bought it used two weeks ago.
I go to clean the MAF & notice the front resonator hold down bolt for box is all chewed up and sitting in he hole loose just bouncing around.
Look at it and figure remove everything back to TB to clean and inspect.
That part went smooth...thank God.
The part that took several hours was walking to hardware store several times for make shift parts.
Both bolts and nut/thread plates are shot. Previous owner or shop messed them up bad. Need new bolts and pinch threaded plates.
Also need to know oem bolt size and length at TB.
I bilieve all stemed from TBS po installed putting stress on system and coc in it the threads so some where it got crossed bad.

PLS. help.
Its been a cold long day... lol!
Where to order, how much?
THANX ALL?!
Chris

Bring those bolts to an old school auto parts store in your area that 's been around for a while, a NAPA or a mom & pop store.
They should be able to match them up and get them for you.
Don't waste your time with the chain auto parts stores like Advance or Autozone.

Or go to a GM truck dealership. Full service body shops will have them as well.

They are called "extruded U nuts". Since they are 10MM mounting bolts (head), the U nuts should be 6MM x 1, but you can check the bolt at the hardware store with their metric thread chart if you want.

Most Ace Hardware-type stores carry them as well.
