The H3 is literally my 12th car at 31 years old. I have owned everything from a Sentra to a Camaro to a 4-Runner, and the H3 has a better turning radius then all of them. It's amazing.

I was going to trade it in but you get attached to it.

I wouldn't doubt you come out of the dealer with one of your own the first time you test drive one.

If your serious, do what I did, go rent one fora week when you get time to enjoy it. I did and it sold me on the H3 right then and there. I have not even considered another vehicle since then. And I own a Jeep!

Hey Yber Hummer, I am new here too and definitely look around and listen a lot as I am no where as versed as some of these fellows. To give you my input is very simple. I personally think you get a lot of bang for your buck with an H3. I switched over after many years and around 7 Land Rovers and loved them to death. Still own a Range and my daughter a Disco. I purchase the Hummer becasue of what I think I wanted and got for my dollar, which like i said before, lots of bang for the money. I also think you need to ask yourself what are you buying your vehicle for. As the other posts mentioned it is an extremely capable vehicle. I would think you may want to look else where if you were looking for a performance car on the road. The Hummer is what it is and arguably one of the most versatile and capable vehicles for what they are built to do. I recently went to Pa. for a little hunting and was very happy with what I seen with it off road as that is where I will end up ateventually. Nothing wrong at all with wanting a fast car or a hot rod but my Hummer reminds me of a bumper sticker I had for a landie of mine " you can go fast but i can go anywhere". I purchase mine to play in and enjoy and thus far it has been great in the 8 weeks I have owned it. Not one complaint worth mentioning. Good luck and hopefully you will get one!

I'm not looking for a hot rod by any means, but I just want my vehcile to be adequately repsonsive in tight traffic when I have to make a quick jet. I mostly offroad and deal with snow and ice.

Well I beleive it is responsive for and SUV. If my hunting trip inPA is any indication it was very capable and it is still almost all stock. I will build it a tad and modify it here some as I wheel an aweful lot or at least in the past so stock I was impressed. Snow, I live in NC so I cant tell you as I am 16 miles from the beach. And I grew up in PA so I still know ice is ice is ice. Maybe look at some other vehicle in this class also and compare them. i actually had bought an LR3 with a deposit and ended up getting the H3 as I always wanted to try one out. I did and ended up bringing it home after a long weekend away. Heck I had my whole family up in arms but again I have no regrets. Good luck

I had the same question before I bought my H3 with the I5. I was pleasantly surprised on the test drive and felt the "underpowered" comments that I'd read didn't match my real world experience. Just finished a 500 mile round trip to Dallas and in both highway and city driving it did everything I wanted it to do.

For what it's worth my former vehicle was a BMW 3 series. It was a quick and intuitive vehicle...you thought it and the vehicle did it. The H3 is as fun as that vehicle but in a different way. Drive it, you'll see.

Like what everyone said above, the H3 is worth your money. After my wife and I test drove one, we bought one. After enjoying it for a month, we decided to buy another. It's a new journey everytime we driveour H3's.

Yup, I had always liked the H3 since it came out. My dream truck would be a Mercedes G55 AMG, with proper springs, dampers and tires... 500hp + 516lb ft of Torque..

But alas compared to that, the H3 is the deal of the century.

I test drove the H3 and my thought was, what a fun truck! Now that it's snowing, it's even more fun!

Drive one and you'll see!

Welcoem Uber...my H3 is great! I live on a dirt road and that is a challenge in itself everyday! I love when the road gets muddy and snowy! That is why I got the H3 to begin with! I have never had to put it in 4WD (Locked)...it does great on its own...have fun with it...the only thing is make sure you have mud flaps on it or your Hummer will stay dirty!!
