Wheels turned and wont move
After going off roading this weekend, i have noticed a strange thing happening. Every time i have the wheel turned all the to either side, it wont move (on its own) and i dont know what the deal is. Especially when im backing up. Whenever the wheel is turned, its like it locks up and when i give it gas, it moves but the wheels hop. I cannot figure out the the problem is. Is it maybe a sticky caliper? is it stuck in 4wd (but the buttons show that it is not)? Any ideas or suggestions will be HIGHLY appreciated. Thanks!
BTW- While mudding i pulled out my buddy's jeep that has mud terrains on it and mine has street tires
here are some pics

Not sure what tom said (have him blocked), but there may be an issue with your H3 being in 4HI Lock. There are several reasons for this.
1. The button on the dash is stuck (had this happen)
2. The T-case shift actuator is malfunctioning (2 buddies have had this happen)
3. The shift fork in your T-case is broken (many 06 H3s have had this issue, 3 that I personally know of)
4. There may be other reasons but these are the only experiences I have had with a T-case stuck in 4HI lock or 4LO Lock.

Glad you got it resolved.
I love the pics!! Our best friends (wife and I) have Jeeps (his and hers). We tease each other back and forth so I can't wait to forward these pics to them! I promised them I'd never put anything derogatory about Jeeps on any of our Hummers, but I never said I wouldn't send them pics that tell the whole story!
Thanks again and good luck with your repair.

By all means, if you have to replace the plastic shift fork then it would be foolish not to upgrade to the later fork at this time. A knowlegeable repair shop will probably already be ordering you the newer shift fork but it never hurts to remind them first. The new part is GM Part # 1918 0438. Check out this thread on the shift fork and replacement:
