Hereare some of our conversations him and I had...

Me:
Hey, I was on a 20 degree muddy sideslope with 1/4 between me and the tree... are these trails going to get much tighter?

Him:
Yeah... should have brought a Jeep... those things are too big for out here.

Me:
You guys knew we were coming... are you trying to prove a point? This is supposed to be a beginner course... I have my dogs and kids in the car...

Him:
I don't know what to tell you...

Me:
I've been going offroad for 17 years and have never met someone like you... I'm not doing this trail... I am leaving...

Him:
You can't leave.... we came here as a group... just keep going... this is good expreience...

Me:
Do I get points for bashing the side of my truck in because you are trying to prove jeeps are superior?

Him:
It's not that big of a deal... it's a washout... just fold your mirrors because I almost didn't make it...

Me:
You almost didn't make it... in a ****ing jeep... when you know I am here...

Him:
Should have brought a jeep...

I don't have anything against either brand, nor do I think that either brand is superior to the other. All depends on the model/mods you have.IMO
But guys like that make you WANT to hate Jeeps.

Like I said, I think you showed amazing restraint. I think redneck Dave would have opened up a can of Whoopass and poured the whole thing on him. There is no excuse for that attitude, especially in a setting where everyone is out trying to have a good time. ( and when you consider that this was supposed to be an offroad 101 class the trails should have been bunny runs ) What a dik.

whats up everyone,

it was great meeting all of you yesterday. it was alot of fun even though we had some problems with the trails. i just got home after spending 4-1/2 hours vacuuming, pressure washing and removing the bent protective cage behind the skid plate. the intermittent noise we heard was the bent cage rubbing against the exhaust pipe. i'll have to see if i can bend it back or i'll have to replace it before our next trip. i don't think that would have happened if they sticked to easier, wider trails but whatever we still had alot of fun.

once i get the pics and vids i'll send you guys the links.

Glad you enjoyed yourself. If trails are well planned you can usually avoid carnage. Sounds like you got out ok.
