You have something out of balance, I'd point at your wheel/tires first.... I am totally smooth up to 105-110. Thats w/ 37's, full height gobi w/ spair tire and 6" lift.

The trim around the windshield is known to rattle like hell also. There is a fix for that.

It's not so much the whole car, but little stuff like the windshield wipers. Most of the sound is coming from the passenger side right where the "Oh ****" handle is My best guess is something isn't fitting right. The wheels and tires are fine the balance with the tire/wheels isn't the problem. The only complaint I have with those is the left front tire rubs against the steep to get into the Hummer, the previous owner must a backed over something with a little speed. The 4 brackets that hold the step on are bent to about 45 degrees but there is no damage on the step its self so i guessed it was replaced but not the brackets. Anyway i've taken the hummer all the way up to 100 Mph ish (the limiter stopped me) and the balence is fine it't just more of a body panel thing.

the little panel that sits right in front of your o.s. handle is known to rattle. its on the outside sitting on the side of the windshield. when you peel back the weatherstripping there are a couple of screws holding it on. remove it, put a nice thin bead of silicon on it where it touches the windshield. let it dry a little while. then reinstall it. rattle gone.

bflorin you write that 17 inch wheels are the smallest you can use on a h2 is bull**** .. i have mickey thompson classic rims that are 16 inches and 12 inch wide and there are plenty of spaces in the rim ...

I'm not totally full of bull****. When I got my rims powdercoated there was an extra set of OEM chevy 8 lug 16" wheels and tires in the shop. Wouldn't clear the caliper.

Steel wheel inside diameter smaller than your aluminum wheels? I dont know.

If you could post some picture that would help. Is there any lifts or upgrades to your H2. The one i want these tires one is completely stock. The rim would be 16.5 x 12.5. I could get wheel spacers if needed but would like to avoid it if i can because of cost and uneeded wear on other components.

I shot an email over to the president of a military tire company and he says he has the 16.5" x 12.5" rim under his Hummer H2 without any major modification. the only work done was to crank up the torsion bar just to clear the 37" tall tires. he claims no other mods are needed. he sells the whole package with the rims for 898-990$ depending on what tire. the site is wartire.com you can see the picture on his wedsite.
