Wheel/Tire Question.. Help PLEASE :)
Hey guys, ok so its wheel/tire shopping time. I don't use the car for offroading much (only have owned my rig about 2 months now) but I don't want to take away from the idea of maybe getting into it in the future, but at the same time I do like the look of larger wheels on truck like the H3. I recently got the magnaflow catback exhaust which I love, so now its time for some wheels/tires. I see many go with 20inch wheels but with what size tires to make it look beefy and muscular? I was considering getting 22inch wheels, but than I guess the tires would be way to thin to do any sort of offroading? Opinions please and also the correct tire size's to get with the wheel. Thanks alot guys..

I am not your best info source but if you are gonna go offroad you prob don't want any bigger than 18's unless gonna lift it and even bigger tires. Your rims would probably take alot of hits with 22's.

There isn't a tire out there that is going to make 20's or 22's look "beefy and muscular". You need smaller rims to do that.

Small rim big tire
My 2. Cents Stock rim with 315/75/16 tire, I use this set up for offroad and the tires do not stick out much beyond the fender.
If you go aftermarket, which I did 18x9 rockstars with 35/12.5/18 nitto trail, love the look hate all the crap on the side of my truck because the tires stick out to far due to the rim width and offset of the rim.

As for tires I would stay with the 16 inch rim... More tire is better for offroading and looks more awesome... I hate rubberband tires.. But if you dont want to lose any mpg, I would go with the 285-75-16, or if you dont mind losing a lil bit then I would go with the 315-75-16.. And as far as the tires themselves. I have the Goodyear Duratrac on both of my trucks, and they last 50,000 plus if you rotate them every 4000 miles. They are quite on the road, look aggresive, and are awesome in mud and snow and even work quite well in sand.. But good luck and post some pictures..

I put 305/55R20 Duratracs on my 20x9 rims and love the look. Way more aggressive and masculine than stock in my opinion. Like others are telling you, it's not gonna be ideal for offroading but it looks so damn good... I have a few pics posted you can check out but even they really don't do it justice.

Yeah I wouldnt go with 285-75-16 tire size on my stock 16 inch bc thats what it came with stock having the adventure package you get the 33inch tires.
