Default Wheel Spacers

I did some searching this morning and found a few threads discussing wheel spacers. I'm looking to put a 1.5" wheel spacer on my '07 H3 with my stock rims. Can someone show me pictures or give me real life info about putting on a spacer? I am looking at spacers with studs installed on them. Will I need to trim my studs with a 1.5" spacer or can I just bolt them on?

Thanks again!

A 1.5" spacer will fit with out needing to trim the factory studs. I would suggest a custom set from Motorsports Tech. They are made in the USA from 100% USA made parts and materials. What ever you do don't buy those cheap ***, $100 for a set of 4 spacers off eBay. The spacers should be hub centric and wheel centric. When it comes to spacers, you don't what to cheap out. Also make sure you use loctite on the factory studs when attaching the spacers and don't forget to torque them.

I didn't find any that cheap, but I did find a set for around $160 for all four which is from an American Seller.
4 Hummer H3 2007 07 Wheel Spacers Adapters 1.5" | eBay

If I'm gonna spend $400 for some, I might as well get new wheels. I like the looks of my stock wheels and don't wanna have to change wheels.

The problem is, the ones in that listing are not hub centric & wheel centric. A set of four quality built spacers (Motorsports Tech or Spidertrax) is going to run you about $300. If you like the wheels, why buy new wheels? Unless you are running a Rancho or Tuff Country lift, there is no need for wheel spacers.

I would like a wider look. I saw the website you listed and looks like 30mm was as wide as they go. I'd like to go with 1.5" spacers. Any ideas?

Spacers alway make me cringe... Almost never a good idea, spend the extra money if you want you wheels to stay on... That all being said what are you rolling for tires?

You would be surprised by the number of cars running spacers and adapters. There are tons of Jeeps and FJ's that hit the trails running Spidertrax spacers. Spacers and adapters have been used on sports cars and even race cars. What gets people into trouble is running slip on or cast aluminum spacers. If you are running them, you are just asking for trouble. A hub centric to wheel centric spacer shouldn't cause any problems. I can understand people being a bit skeptic but if they are installed properly you don't have anything to worry about. There are a couple of Rancho (and a Tough Country) lifted H3's out there running stock wheels and spacers. I was also amazed by the number of people on the Club Hummer Russia running wheel spacers.
