Wheel spacer or Level the front end?
I was wondering if anyone bought wheel spacers to accomodate a bigger tire like the 315/75/R16, instead of leveling out the front end with a taller shock and turning up the torcian bars to raise it up? I hope I spelled torcian right!!!

Nope, I leveled the front end, a wheel spacer isn't gonna really do anything for you, other than move the larger tire away from the sway bar, no need. I did the "torsion" bar approach and got the larger shocks, with the extra weight on the nose I was having really bad nose dives when braking, so much better with the other shocks... definitely worth the $200 IMO

I personally think that wheel spacers are a bad idea. 315's fit on stock wheels with no problem other than if turning hard against the stops some tires may tickel the sway bar. The best thing to do is always keep the same wheel offset as stock because the unit bearings (wheel bearings) are designed to support the weight properly at the stock wheel offset. Anything other than the stock offset adds an additional stress component on the bearing assy which can cause premature failure of the bearing. My 2 cents!

I did the leveling kit and still had to put 1/4 inch spacers on to stop the rubbing. The tires when turned all the way would rub on the 1" str. stab. bars that are in front of the tie rod ends. I can still feel or hear it if I hold real hard to turn tight. Might should have gotten the 3/8 or even 1/2 inch spacers. I put the spacers on all four corners. Even at 1/4 inch I didn't want to be able to tell a difference from front to back.
