Wheel selection Sucks!!

Wheel selection Sucks!!
ok, I need to vent for a few min, So I am looking for some new wheels for my H3, and the more I read and look the more frustrated I get. I like the 16 in wheels size but the H3 has a 38mm back spacing, thats crazy... in order to even get close I have to go to a 20" wheel.. All the 16 in wheel either have a negative back spacing or is 0. Hopefully someone out there has ran into this and came out satisfied, let me know what you guys/gals think.

I think the reason you are frustrated is because you have no clue what you are talking about....
I would suggest you read some of the hundreds of H3 wheel/tirethreads where dozens of our members havepurchased 16" and 17" rimsfor their trucks...
I would start here, personally....

RE: Wheel selection Sucks!!
I've never had the need to buy wheels but from being on here for a while and reading the posts I can see it's an issue.

Thanks guys for the links. Muddy actually I do know what I am talking about. I guess your not understanding what I said or your misinterpeting what I wrote, I know that 16 and 17 inch wheels will work, that is not what I am saying, I am talking about a 16 inch wheel with a large amount of backspacing as the factory has or at least close to it. I don't need to read the forums to know that the backspacing is a plus 38 stock, but when the backspacing is 0 it will stick out of the fender well, which defeats the purpose of mud flaps and protecting your paint job.

RE: Wheel selection Sucks!!
I'll have to agree with HeavyD...My search for 16 or 17 inch custom wheels came up woefully short and I wrestled with the dilemma long and hard. Sure, there are many wheels those sizes that will bolt on and look good directly from the side but when viewed from the front or rear they all stick out well beyond the fender giving the vehicle the look of improperly chosen wheels...a very unsophisticated customization. I decided to stay with the stock wheels which are OK in the design/looks department but gave them a custom paint to make them look less like stock. I am far happier with the over-all appearance of these wheels because of the way that they fit. I think some of the custom designs offered out there are really cool but really cool only goes so far if it don't fit!

I also agree with HeavyD because I too searched for 16” wheels that would NOT end up making the tires on my Alpha stick out 2” beyond the fender, but to no avail and ended up buying a set of stock wheels to have powder coated Black. Then I will mount a 35” mud tire on them for off-road and winter use. Right now I have BFG/AT 295/75R16 on stock chrome wheels.

There are plenty of options out there... it's just a matter of you liking them...
