What my wife and I are trying to get into

RE: What my wife and I are trying to get into
OK, back on topic. Get off of Brokeback MOUNTain![8D]
The Realtor came by and looked at our house today. He likes (too bad he doesn't want to buy it, lol) and has said that he would list it for $270,000. That's roughly what we have in it. While I would love to make money on it, ultimately I'm ok with it as long as I don't lose money on it in order to get her the house. The farmhouse isn't expected to listed in MLS for about another 3-4 weeks with no idea what they will be asking. Guessing around $249,000. Can do. But right this second we are going to wait it out and see what it lists for. He said that in our price range there has only been 1 house sell in the last year and we have 31 others on the market right now in our bracket. The area all together has 330 homes listed (alot for our area at one time!) with the average sitting time of 8-12 months. Not real sure how this is going to play out yet. I want to get her the house, but at the same time I love the house that I'm in. Trying my hardest to convince to sit here for another 2 years and we WILL be able to make some money on it. (hoping that the economy turns around by then)

Rich you are trying to apply logic to the thinking process of a woman in the middle of an emotional purchase decision. Good luck and keep your head down because this one could blow up on you.
