What if GM drops hummer
#11
What if GM drops hummer ... I'm hoping the value of all of our trucks sky rockets! In the late 90's Landrover dropped the Defender 90 here because they didn't want to put the required safety adds in it. Last month the local LR dealer was selling a '95 for $36k! It wasn't that much NEW! Granted there are a few more H2 and H3 out there than Defender 90s... but until we cement up all the dirt or have flying cars, the market for true off-road capable vehicles will always exist and the fuel economy isn't a factor for those users as much as it is for the pavement pounders. I even considered this upside back in August when I got my 06 H3. I thought I got a great deal then. Its probably come down a bit more in value since then but I still think I made a good buy decision.

Where I live, we don't have a hummer dealership within 100 miles. We bought ours in Orlando and was told the Chevy dealership in our town could work on warranty repairs. We called Chevy about a gas problem and they told us their "Rep" came in a few days prior and told them they could not work on the hummers anymore. Now we have to go to the GMC dealership in town. If they can't do it, then we have to drive 1 1/2 hours to get work done!!! What a rip off!
