What DON'T You Like About Your H3?
What don't you like about your H3? I've only had my H3 Alpha for about 5 weeks now and I'm beginning to find the "little" things that annoy me about the truck that I otherwise love. So far what I really dislike is the area that the rear wiper clears. I think it could make a larger sweep to give a better view out the rear window. Nextare the sunvisors! They are so thick that I cannot hang anything on them, like my glass case or just about anything else.Another thing is, there is no hoodliner or light under the hood of the H3 Alpha and such a small fuel tank, my pickup had a 38 gallon tank. I'm sure I'll get used to these little differenses but I was just wondering if anyone else had the same feelings about their truck.

The space between the seat and the closed door is really tight for my big thick hand to get down in there to adjust the seat controls. Also the brake pedal is too close to the go pedal for my big fat boots. Also the factory Navigation sysytem leaves a lot to be desired. You cannot make changes without stopping the vehicle! ------- But I sure do like the way it drives!

RMD

I have to agree with RMD here, the space between the seats are sad! Every time I use my left hand to adjust the seat I have to keep looking at my watch to see how bad I scratched it up! Also in-between drivers seat & center console, I'm always loosing my remote for the radio or anything elsedown there & I also can't get at it until I stop the truck to go under the seat to get it.
The yellow roof marker lights first howled when I first picked up the truck and now a year later it came back.
They could have made the dash more impressive looking. The dash in the yukon looks 100% better with large round vents. Looks just like a plan GM dash with cheap looking vents. Make it look more like the H2 next time!
Also, how many times have you hit the on-star button by mistake when trying to adjust your dash light brightness? They scared the sh&t out of me the first time when they came on!! LOL
I almost drove off the road.
I'm sure there is more... I only have to put up with it one more year until the Hx (or H4) comes out!! [8D]

My biggest complain was the location of the window controls. On the 06, they happen to be right were I rest my elbow. This was fixed in 07.
Next would be that I can not put on a custom shift **** on my 5 Speed because in GM designed the **** as part of the stick itself. I about fell over when I broke the top plate off the shifter (I was trying to take off the ****), the dealer wanted $200 for a replacement! I ended-up just gluing back on with a one dollar tube of glue.
Not much room for add-on gadgets, like CBs. I have mine mounted on the side of the hump. It bothered me for a few weeks, but I am used to it now. Would be nice if GM started offering CB as factory equipment again. I guess the whole Smokey and the Bandit stigma wore off back in the eighties . . .

I don't care for the spaces in the cowling under the windshield where the wipers connect. They fill with snow then the snow gets compacted and it looks like the cowling is going to break in half as it flexes every time the wipers cycle. Also the placement of the window and lock controls on the '06s suck. What where they thinking?? And, I agree with you guys that said the spacebetween the doorand the seat---I can't get my hand down there. In spite of all this though, once you get everything adjusted, it is a sweet vehicle!!

I really like my H3, but everything has it's flaws:
-The cupholders are really cool for one, but a little on the impracticle side for two with medium drinks (which is one gallon now as we all know.) And the one in the rear seat ( at least on the 07) is retarded.
-The steering (at least on mine) is a little looser than I would like, feel sort of vague at times.
-The lack of a decent place to store your sunglasses (really minor complaint.)
-The placement of the tuning **** on the stereo, so everytime I go to turn the music down without looking I change the station to El Ranchero's greatest hits.

the lack of space on console to put stuff,,,, the non removable rear seat headrests (if they was gone you could actually see out the back window),,, the way to tight, tiny door pockets that you can't get anything in other than a map,,,,,
the rest is "GOLDEN"

No child safetly door locks (06 and early 07 builds)
The fact that every yahoo now owns one
The fact that I saw one last night with 22's...I laughed at him and gave him thumbs down....if that was you..I appologize.
The dumbest oil filter placement I have ever seen....HORRIBLE design.
Aftermarket is still years behind Jeep...even the JK that came out in 07.
Windshield wipers are always noisy
Steering wheel is as big as a bumper car steering wheel
No steering wheel audio controls
No bluetooth
Would like rear air vents
Would like seperate climate controls for front and back
Not really major bitches...but they say they are not competing in the wrangle market.... that hummer is more of a luxery off road rig...then where is the luxery?
