Default water problem

Hello everyone I am a new member but not a new Hummer owner. I have had my H2 for about 3 years now with never a problem. Now I have a problem, every time it rains or I go to wash it I get a decent sized puddle on my drivers side floor. So much that I have to use the shop vac to get all the water out. I have tried experimenting with the moon roof, the door seal, and the hood vents and came up with nothing. Any ideas? I asked a friend of mine that owns a big SUV and said to check the roof drains? Please help i am frustrated. Thanks in advance.

Try with just a garden hose running but the left lower corner of the windshield. See if the puddle starts. It may just be a bad windshield seal.

just throwing this out there, I had a similar problem with my 1993 Pontiac Grand Am, but the puddle was in the passenger side floor, I took it to the dealer and they guided me to the body shop, for $50 the body shop replace the seal around the windshield and the guy there told me that if the water is still there after rain he would give me my money back. Guess what that solved the problem. This is the experince I had with the puddle, just passing it along. Can't explain why, and yet no one else could either, but it fixed it. I kept that car until the head gasket went bad, too bad they couldn't fix that for $50!!!

The H2 doesn't have a "Seal" around the winshield. The entire thing is glued in and that glue is the only thing that holds it in.

My money is on the marker lights... I took my corner ones out, bought some aerosol RTV from Napa, and pushed and spread it out. It has not leaked since.

If your windshield leaks then you have an issue because it's not secure... or you have some awful rusty and that's not going to be a cheap fix.

I had the same problem when I bought my H2 last wear. They replaced my windshield, and the seal. I found out it was the second time to be replaced. After much research and still having a leak I found out that its the roof markers. The seal around the roof markers need to be changed. The dealership wanted to charge me over 300 dollars to change. I have seen where some people use spray sealent and it works. Mt plans are to change to clear markers install leds and then use spray sealent. My rear markers need to be replaced to because I am having water come in the back also.

Naturally occurring impurities in water can cause equipment to be subject to fouling, scale formation, corrosion or rusting, and growth of microorganisms. Left uncontrolled, any of these conditions will cause a loss of system capacity, reduced energy efficiency and shortened equipment life. If a process heating, cooling or waste water system fails, often the entire plant or facility must shut down and suffer the economic consequences. Lack of attention to water-related problems is often the cause for failures that cost time, money, production and aggravation.

You can go to your local health department and they will give you a bottle to put the water in so they can test it and see if it's safe to drink.

Had the same problem. Silicone on the inside of marker lights cured it.

I found the moon roof has two drain tubes that take the water from the roof to the road, mine where plugged with leaves causing the water to run out the screw holes for the sun visor easily mistaken for the clearance lights blew out these tubes and problem solved air blow gun or air crevice tool did the trick. water problems suck took me a while to figure this one out my thought was clearance lights windshield etc....
