Hey everyone,
I have a 2006 Alpha Convertible. I want to get a wagon. I want an older one so I won't feel so bad about off-roading it (I baby my Alpha too much).
I am thinking either a 1998 or a 2002 10th Anniversary. Any suggestions? Thanks, Kris

I would suggest the 1998, simply for the fact it was the last year before they put the ABS and TT4 in the 1999's and on...
The reason is while offroading you want torq going to all 4 wheels at the same time and with BTM(Break throttle modulation) you can do this no problem plus its kind of fun, with ABS you cant do BTM thats why hummer had to design the TT4 which is alright but honestly I would prefer BTM over TT4 anyday and alot of hummer offroaders agree with me... but yea you can always install full lockers on the machine and that will beat both BTM and TT4 but whats the fun in that?

I still would prefer the 1998 over the 2002 if it will be your trail rig... since you can always add lockers and change the ratio on the differentials as needed. but in the end its upto you.
I would love an 10th Anni for an road queen but if I was looking for an offroad rig by far the 98 is the way to go! but thats just my opinion. Some other people actually like the TT4 as they already have enough things going on while on the trail they dont want to focus on another thing like holding in the break but for me I prefer the challenge thats why I wheel to be challenged.
