Default VERY confused with H3 Navigaion!

Hi everyone. I just gotmy 2006 Hummer H3 and I love it!

My only problem right now is that I'm confused with the built in navi system. I've read the manual but I just can't figure it out.

I want to know, how to you get it simply tell you where you CURRENTLY are? It's telling me that I'm somewhere where I am no where near! So I went to "calibrate" - is this the solution? If so I'm really not impressed - do you have to manually position the pointer where you are? And then rotate the pointer accordingly? I expected there to just be a BUTTON that you press that will automatically locate your hummer. I have the DVD in.

Please help!

Also, where the heck does the DVD go in?! I know that it is infact in but I don't know where the DVD slot actually is? The manual says to press and hold the eject key and that the screen will tilt up and reveal the DVD slot - this is not the case for me... I'm pressing the eject key (hard, even) and the screen does not move at all. I don't think it's supposed to anyway?

Thanks for your help!

To remove the Nav DVD hold the eject button till it beeps and the whole screen will pop open. (it does take a little bit)

Try to hit the Nav hard key on the left and it should reposition you to where you currently are. Also make sure you are in the correct region.

Hope this helps.

Hi everyone,

I was able to get the DVD thing open, thanks!

I think the nav is working okay now... I did calibrate it again though. My region is Canada and it is set to that.

Thanks for your help!
