OK I have attached a link to a pic of a 06 i purchased from Carmax I ordered shipped up from Texas on just the photos. I have had it for a few days and noticed the front bumper issue
It looks like the front bumper is pushed up on the drivers side.
What could have caused this?
could my frame be bent?
is it common for H2 bumpers to get this kind of misalignment?
SHOULD I TAKE IT BACK and keep looking?

 

Does it have a clean carfax? I would ask if you can have a body shop look at it before you buy it.

 

Honestly if its that small you didnt notice it for several days, the previous owner probably just barely bumpted into something at 2mph and this would surly not mess up your frame.

 

carfax was clean. the misaligned bumper looks small in the pic believe me its not. got the car in the rain so had to wait a day before noticing it. Really like the hummer other then that. I hope carmax can fix it. Last car was a jeep wrangler and I know those bumper ends get wacked all the time this is the whole front bumper though. I am hoping carmax can fix it. I really like the car.

 

Doesnt carmax have a number of days to bring the car back

 

Brought the car back to carmax.
Had them look at the bumper and the wheel assemblies. Carmax then took the car to hummer dealership. Hummer dealer fixed tie and sway arm. So it looks like prev owner hit something. Day 2 now and back at carmax where they are going to try and fix the front grill bumper issue.
I will post pics when done.

Day 3 car still at carmax. I made a surpize vist yesterday to inspect the repairs. Front bumper was algigned to match passenger side nicely. They hit up the skid plate with some powdercoat type spray. I requested carmax install my hid 8000k upgrade from a kit I already have they are working on it now at a very resonable price!
Might even have them put my borlA catback in when it arrives.

lol so I'm gonna take a wild guess and say your keeping it? Pretty cool you got those repairs done for free.

 

day four,
Carmax did a great job with the bumper and scratch fix. Since it was in the carmax garage I asked if carmax could install my 8000k HID light kit.
Bad Idea there. Carmax wired the kit wrong so I have no highbeam. It took me 2 hours to back engineer and repair faulty wiring.
Still working on it today.
I will post video with fixed bumper and WORKING Hid lights soon.
Love the Hummer.
Would I buy again from Carmax- YES time will tell.
Would I get or keep the Carmax extended warranty- Magic eight-ball says "Chances are not good"
