I have a 2006 h3 and the upper ball joing is bad in the driver side. It only comes with the whole upper control arm. "stealership" wants over 200 for each side, i found them (OEM) on line for 140. lowers seem to be fine, but ill prob do them just to know that they have all been done at the same time and are in new cond'

 

How much milage on your H3, before the ball jonts went bad ?

 

i have 90k, just now i hear a loud popping/clunk on driver side. i move the wheel in the driveway and can feel the upper ball joint pop. now just need to get parts and time to replace all 4 BJ's

 

Dealer says they can not get bolts loose on upper rt control arm so can not align ..They are ordering upper control arm and bolts so they can perform alignment, Hummer is making tire whinning noise in front. They said caster and camber is way out. does any of this make sense?

 

does you hummer pull one way or the other when you drive? Did you hit something or go wheeling? If the align is out, yes it can make tire noise if its WAY out! Yes bolts may have seized up. My uppers were not too bad to replace. I have bad opinions about "stealerships". also you may be getting noise from tires, what type do you have?
