About your asian & euroclaims, wellyour Toyotas, Nissan, Mecedes, Hyundie are made in the US.Most of your "American" autos are made in Mexico and Canada. There are few true country made autos anymore that are made for the masses. I have had 2 Escapes and there is no comparison to a Hummer. But if you have strong ethics on this supporting thing then buy a Schwinn. You need to really check things out sometimes before you enter.

Well if that is true than the Escape is off the list. I was told it was built here but I will check the door sticker. My F250 was built in the USA but they might not be now. I always check the sticker.

You have a point about the taxes but guess what? Most of those tax $$$ are now going to fight the war for oil. It's a catch 22. If the Hummer was powered by American Fuel or energy source it would be a no brainer.
