Default Two "buttons" below heater controls?

Every H3 I've seen has two recessed button-like spots below the heater controls next to the rear wiper control ****. What are these for?

I'd do a search, but I don't even know what to search for.

Those are dummy plugs. One is for the optional roof mounted off road lights switch, the other is for the optional grill mounted off road lights switch.

If you have lockers, they put the stabilitrak switch there.

It actually depends on the year and options on the H3/H3T.

06-08 ALL:
No optional lights = blank and blank
Optional Roof lights = light toggle and blank
Optional Roof lights and Grille lights = light toggle and light toggle

09-10 Non Adventure/OffRoad:
No optional lights = blank and blank
Optional Roof lights = light toggle and blank

09-10 Adventure/Offroad:
No optional lights = stabilitrak and blank
Optional Roof lights = stabilitrak and light toggle

Hope this helps!

Are there any switches (not necessarily OEM) that fit well for aftermarket lights?
