turn signal question...
#12
This made me go double check mine. Imagine my surprise when I realized that the side markers blink for the lock/unlock feature, but not for the turn signals. Very strange indeed. Sorry folks, my earlier post was wrong about my 07 having the side markers blink for the signals.

my LEFT turn signal has all of a sudden been twice as fast as the RIGHT turn signal. I noticed in my reflection on a truck that the front light is blinking at the same pace as the inside clicking is going. Maybe it's a feature for the rear bulb being out?... I'll go check

fast signals
OK, so I'm planning to replace BOTH my rear bulbs but does it seem rather coincidental that both started blinking fast on the exact same day?
Started about two weeks ago. So I assumed it was the blinker relay (as on my older cars). Parts store shows no such thing avail.
Asked dealer on phone, they were not forthcoming with any suggestions/details. Surprised there?
Noticed yesterday that neither actually works in the rear but fronts work but blink fast.
So just went and checked further, emergency flashers work in rear but it appears that I don't even have brake lights?
Could this rabbit hole really be as simple as two new bulbs?

Not so sure about the mid-year change. My 07 has dimmed headlights for DRLs and non-blinking side markers... but it was built in 08/06 which would make it one of the earliest 07s. Still has the old style arm rests. Maybe it was a change for the 07 model year but they put the old stuff on some of them just to get rid of the stock?

no brake/turn signals
OK, changed both bulbs, no change.
Checked the fuse, yep it's blown.
Replaced it and that one blew instantly.
So must be a short somewhere right?
So, I've read elsewhere the trailer harness can rub and short out, seems logical. Looking underneath though, nothing seemed obvious.
Could anyone point me in a specific direction/place to look?
Even odder, still no breaklights but now when vehicle is running, brake lights are now permanently on..
