That was theproblem.I installed them after cracking the TB to level my ride.

They werethe same size as the stock shocks, But they could not hold. The local importer of RANCHO has given up, and sohe ordered for me the FOX shocks instead.

To Ghostrider

The only things that I managed to break so far is:

1. Fuel cap (the moststrange off roading thing that can happen)
2. 2 front RANCHO shocks (2 pairs) for the reason described above.I would have to say it's not so much rancho guilt, But more of a bad installation.

That's it. The gear problem I thought I had after my lat off-road trip was a simple screw holding my skid plate that got loose, causing the skid plate to make noises coming from the gear area.

I do admit thatI work my H3 very hard while off-roading. I just lowered my front end yesterday (Un-cranked the TB ) morning (until I get my readylift kit) And I must say that the H3 front suspesion feels now much better, but I'll test it in real off-road conditions only next week.

So they do have the fox shocks for the leveled height?

Yes they do, or at list that is what my local dealer said.
here is the link: http://www.samcofabrication.com/prod...products_id=48

I hope to get them in about 1 week, and I'll let you know how they act.

I want to emphesize that at this stage I'm not recomending the FOX shocks yet, I'm just sharing with you what's going on with my truck.

I will be able to recommend (or not) only after I try them on myself.

Wayne,
do you have the in cab control too?
No I dont. I had the controler in my F-350 with a 7.3 Diesel. Everytime I would tow a trailer the extra heat from the motor would melt the air lines. So now I like to keep it simple.

There was a post that listed aftermarket shocks for the H3 after lifting and the Ranchos had the least travel of all shocks, it was only 2.34" whereas the Cognitos for example have 6.65" of travel but is about 3 inches longer than the Ranchos.

I think the Fox shock with 4.5" travel and a full inch longer than stock is prefect for me lifting mine up about an to better handle the 34" Swampers and 16x10 rims. Has anyone tried the Fox shocks?

Too long of a shock is not really good either! They could bottom out or over extend your C.V. joints.
