Tried Both Key Fobs - H3 Unresponsive!
Hello, This is my first post to this forum. I'm hoping somebody can help me before I have to go to the dealer and pay out the a$$!!
My key fob had started malfunctioning intermittently and then I assumed it was the battery. I replaced the battery and it still didn't work. I broke out our spare key fob and it too will not work. I have been using the key to unlock the door.
After reading other posts and forums I tried troubleshooting to no avail - but DID discover both key fobs work while sitting inside my H3 with the doors shut.....just don't work outside the vehicle with doors shut. FML!!!
Any suggestions? I see over the years others have had the same problem but nobody had any solutions. TIA!

Actually,
*1)remove bat cables and leave off for awhile...
*2)remove drv side control module for door and bring in house and clean contacts with electric cleaner...
*3)at the door frame on drv side disconnect main door cable and cln out with electrical cleaner...
*4)replace bat + & - connectors with aftermarket...
