I'm curious, how many times does your TC light flash when switching from 4 Hi Lock to 4 Hi?

When I switch from 4 Hi to 4 Hi Lock mine flashes on the average about 4 times, but when going from Lock to Open it usually jumps right over, no flashes. Is this normal? I'm just not sure if it's actually working and I haven't had this H3 for very long. Thanks in advance.

 

Yes its normal, at least compared to mine. Mine also makes some fairly loud clanks/clunks when it switches to lock as well. Forgive me if you are aware but you should never have it locked on dry pavement because you will cause damage. When I have locked mine in the snow, I don't notice much of a difference which is expected going from 60/40 to 50/50. I test mine at a big dirt stockpile we have at work after it rains. You could also probably take it in the grass(nod to drtom) and make a few slow turns to see if you can feel it locked.

Quite honestly, its not really needed unless you are taking it truely offroad. In the past few years I was responsible for snow removal for a university so I had to drive in when the roads were the absolute worst. Usually well before the plows ahd been out, so it would be 6" of snow with heavy ruts and crap from the semi's. I think I only went to 4 lock 1 time and that was mostly to see if there was a big difference.
