I just bought a H3X and can not get it to go into the relearn process for the tpms. I bought a set of facotry takeoffs with sensors to run this winter not to mess up my chrome on the 18s. I know the manaul says 3 times in 4 seconds, but my tpms tool and guide says 4 times in 4 seconds. I have tried both , but it does not sound the horn twice to start the process. What am I messing up? My sierra has a start relearn in the dic and I can reset them in a matter of minutes. I am at a loss. Please advise.

 

I wonder if the horn is turned off, meaning that when you hit the key fob to lock your hummer the horn usually goes off, but you can shut it off, maybe it needs to be turned back on to effectively reset the tpms.

 

I had to push the parking brake all the way down so it would say parking brake on the DIC. I had pushed it down to set before, but it did not say it on the info screen. After that horn beeps twice and relearn was good to go.

No worries. I bought the otc tpms tool whch was well worth the investment since I switch rims and tires out every spring and fall for winter. The tool pays for itself just in the fact that is saves a ton of time resetting the sensors instead of dealing with raising and lowering the air pressure or dealing with the dealership to do it.
