YES, and get a good tire gauge, not one of those cheap pen style at the parts counter
I use a INTERCOMP AIR GAUGE 2.5IN GLOW 60 X 1 PSI

I prefer the Monkey Grip Dial Tire Gauge w/ Bleeder Valve & Hose (made by Accu Gauge). That way I can release air pressure and check air pressure without having to remove the gauge from the valve stem. I also like the flexible hose and dual foot chuck.

Intercomp unit does exactly same thing

@ more than twice the price.

Yeah, not cheap, but well built and accurate.
Awhile ago I took the high speed driving course at Sears Point raceway (now Infineon)
All the formula fords race cars we used and the LMP's and GT cars were using the Intercomp
Now I do.
