Default Tire SENSOR----WHAT is the DEAL????

GOOD-DAY
Bought a set of chrome Hummer wheel with tires and I install on the WIFE'S H3.....NO Problem (that was last Saturday)
Well, yesterday(Monday) she calls---"the message window is saying Tire pressure---Service something"----THEN here comes the @*#!*
WHAT have you done to my HUMMER?[:@]......WELL I say "PUT THE DAMN TIRE ON"............................To make a long story SHORT!!!!!!!

WE have tried and tried(we are both STILL ALIVE--no DIVORCE or DEATHS[&o]) to RESET using the manual---set the park brake-turn the key-turn the light-on 4 times--decrease or increase air pressure for 10 sec.--the wait 15 sec for the horn to sound----BUT no HORN sound.
WHAT IS THE DEAL[:@]
HELP.....before I and left-out of the Will.....[8D]

Maybe you turned on the lights three times. Maybe your horn doesn't work.

I don't beleive the things you have to do just to reset something. Who ever developed this should be working at NASA not GM. Or the looney bin, Im not sure.

The chrome rims do not have the sensors in them you need to take them off the old rims and put them on the new ones or that light will always stay on

I went through the same thing putting the spare tire on due to a nail through the side wall. I had to let like 15 to 20 PSI of air out of the tire before it started working. If it still does not work you could have a bad sensor. If thats the case take it in and have it replaced.

we have to do that if we get new rims?? I just bought a spare set of factory H3 rims to mount some larger tires on... am I going to run into problems without adding a tire pressure sensor?

Now you're getting the picture..This is what Mark and I have been trying to say..Got to keep the originals with the car for some reason..And just so everyone understands..the sensor is located in the tire Valve Stem.
