Tips for replacing starter?
Thanks for everyone's help on my last thread! I went back to the car today and tapped on the starter and got it going. Everything works fine now, but I know it could do it again at any moment, so I want to go ahead and replace it.
I just got the car back to the house and into the garage and it's been raining like hell here, so I'm going to let it sit until after work and let it dry off before crawling under.
From looking at the starter from the top (basically can't even see it) or through the wheel well, it looks like it's a bitch to get to. Maybe there is a clear path to it from underneath.
Has anyone replaced theirs themselves? Any tips or tricks to doing it? Or even getting to it easily?
Thanks!
