I had my 2006 3.5L with the whole 0% financing deal but I gave that up after 15 months because the power was poor compared to the Alpha.

 

Solar...that dealer just put the bait out and thought you would take it. He is full of it if he is telling you that you lost $10K right off the lot...and with only 500 miles on it...not true.
He is trying to make way too much money on this deal. Good for you you said no; I personally would have told him to do a personal sexual favor to himself...

10k off the top, first that guy is bs'ing you and with only 500 miles it should be only about a 3000 to 5000 depreciation....I know because my brother works at a hummer dealer

 

thanx guys....I have an appointment this weds. for the Hummer dealer to look at the steering shaft. It's the only Hummer dealer in the state. We'll see what he says......and then go from there.....if they don't fix it, I'm going to make a big stink!!!!

 

So Solarflare, you are saying that when you gave the service manager the TSB numbers from the other thread he still discounted that there was an issue with the steering shaft? Seems like Hummer CA could straighten this guy out. Too bad there aren't any other dealers close by.

yes...he did.....and when I called Hummer CA, they said that they would take care of it......She said she would call the dealership while I was there on Weds morning, and then call me between 5-6pm to check in. Seems like they will take care of me. The hard thing is that when it's cold out, it doesn't do it as much......so hopefully I can reproduce the annoying clunk and the knock in my pedals.


AND come to find out the dealership where I bought mine now has a Solar Flare Alpha in the showroom......go figure! Supposedly they didn't have it when I looked at mine, but then the salesman said I think it was here when you looked at yours......I guess they didn't need to make anymore money by selling me the one I wanted......ARGH!!![:@]

If everything is fixed, I'll be a happy camper! and will love my ride....but if the stealership wants to play with me, I'm not going to be to nice....I will make them give me the Alpha and trade the one I have for no loss!
