Default Tahoe LTZ experience vs '08 H2

Hello Gang

Anyone have experience with the 2010 or newer Tahoe "LTZ" vs an 08 H2
Whats your difference with mpg?

I am going back and forth between the 2 trucks and what to get.
Anyone have both or test drive both before you made your decision?

Let me know and thanks

I test drove a few Tahoes and did a bunch of research before deciding on an H2. As this is a Hummer forum I'm sure you'll get a pretty biased overall opinion, but I'll try to be as unbiased as I can. The Tahoe will be nicer and get better MPG. If you want to go offroad more than just typical dirt and gravel roads, an H2 is a better option.

Contrary to popular opinion, the H2 is far from a Tahoe with a body kit.

I drive a '10 Tahoe for work. I doubt it is an LTZ though. As I dont pay for gas, I cant comment on the MPG. But Id say I fill up every 3rd 12 hour shift. It is nice, but again I am in a fleet vehicle.
If they would pay for gas, Id drive my '04 H2 no questions asked.

What year Tahoe? The '10s are rated at 15/21, the older ones are 2-3mpg less.

FWIW, I reset the MPG on my H2 when I bought it about 2k miles ago and my average mpg is 12.2. Bone stock on a new set of BFG AT KOs, 4,500 ft UT driving, fairly even street and highway mix, lots of up and down grade.

There is also the Tahoe Hybrid, ran across one when I was planning to buy a Tahoe. Those are rated 21 city, 21 Highway.
