Default T-case fluid ??

What is the name of the fluid in a T-case for the 07 H3 ??
I had thought it was straight ATF, but someone told me it was something more special
Thanks

I was told to use Dexron III/H or manual transmission fluid part number 88861800 in the TC when I went to purchase from a GM service counter. I went with the manual transmission fluid since the did not have any Dex III. Hopefully I wasn't misinformed.

"Owners Manual", read it, love it, live it. Use what it says for your truck if you plan on keeping it under warranty.

Wasn't tryin to be a smart azz. The 06 Manual says Dex III; 07 says MT Fluid; 08 says Dex IV; and, right now I can't remamber what the 09 or 10 Manuals say on the subject. So, do what you truck's manual says (even though IMHO any will do) because that way if you have a failure, and still are in warranty, no way can they claim you put the wrong stuff in and we refuse to cover it.

You a smart ***,?? never !!
Your posts have more info and useable logic than most

I just never really knew exactly what "manual transmission fluid" was . . .
I believe that's what the manual for a 07 H3 states
