I've had a front swaybar diconnect on my H3 for about 1.5 years now (I built it). It really helps in the articulation department in keeping all four tires on the ground.
One thing that I would like to mention is that after one fairly serious four wheeling day, I did have a cv axle shaft pull out of the race in the outer joint. I don't know for sure that the two events are connected but it has made me a little gun shy about using my disconnect. The other H3 that was along that day had his swaybar disconnected and had a shaft pull out of the race also. Both incidences of the shaft pulling out happened within a week of the wheeling.

^Exactly. But I think the point he was trying to make is having the front end links disconnected MIGHT have been what pulled that cv just enough to tear the teeth out and driving ripped it all the way out. BUT, like you said it could be coincidence and could have happened to anybody given the right circuimstances.

Question About Disconnects?
Hi guys im new to this. I was surfing the sight's for ways to get more flex out of my H3. Who was making the disconnects for the Hummer's? I found one sight but it was saying they were closed or will be closing down soon.
Can you guys provide any help.
Thanks.
Ted.
