I just had a back up camera installed in my SUT.
I was just wondering if anyone else has added one to there truck.
I had it done at GM paid $1200.
After they installed it they advised me it was an after market one which meant it couldn't be put in the bumper.
They put it on the spare tire, the wires run through the spare tire.
I realized that with out cutting the wires for the camera I could not change my spare. (the camera is too big to fit through the holes they drilled).
The guy at the dealership told me that only a proffesional can change a tire on a hummer and that they would take care of it.
Later they advised me it would be an additional 2 hours labour to fix camera once tire was removed.
Need less to say I'm furious and feel it's just cause Im a woman that they have taken advantage of me.
Im hoping someone here can provide me with some pictures so I can show them it can go some where else or at least the wiring could be done differently.
Any information you can provide would really be appreciated, thank you.
