Default Subs in the rear doors?

I recently put component speakers in my front doors and am considering putting subs in my rear doors. Just wondering if anyone has any advice, comments, concerns or experience with it? If so, I'd be more than happy to hear your opinion before I go with it.

I was thinking maybe 6 or 6 1/2" shallow subs. Or should I just do more speakers?

You could put two shallow mounts in the rear passenger doors but I don't know if you will be happy with the quality of bass and also you will need to at the least dynamat your doors because the speakers will rattle the crap out of the doors depending on the power of the subs. I put a picture below of what I did in my back door I have more pictures in my album to give you better idea of size the sub is 10" regular mount.

I had shallow mount 8" Kicker subs in my Fiero. Not in the doors though, just behind the seat because I only had like 4 inches of space to spare. But these would definitely be able to go in an H3 door, custom fabrication of course. They handled 165 watts rms each, and hit down in the 30hz range. Mine were an older model than these subs, but pretty close. They took some time to break in and never sounded like full size 10's or 12's, but definitely gave the car some bass to enjoy.

Once you're done post up some pics and let us know how it is. If it's not too much trouble, I might do it myself. I still have my 8" subs and amp just collecting dust and nowhere to go.

I just sat in a set of 8" vibe space 8's in the rear doors and I got JL Audio 7.7 in the front. Some trimming had to be done but it was easy since they both come with circle cut outs. I love them.
