Default STUBBIE ANTENNA...DAMAGE POTENTIAL?

I ordered a stubbie antenna having read in its production description that it was flexible. Yet when I received it today, it is a solid piece of aluminum. Without the ability to flex, it seems it could cause damage to the mount or even the body sheet metal if it got hung up on something. Has anyone had any problems with their solid metal stubbie antennas causing damage or getting easily broken off?

Did you ask the supplier why it was flexible as advertised?

what length did you get? I have the 9 inch stubbie and I suppose I could unscrew it if tree shrubs came into play to... do they make a really tiny 3-4 inch antennae?

Ive had my 9 inch antenna for over a year now with no problems. I off-road around twice a month and never had any issues.

One of the guys on Ebay sells the "springy thing" for antennas and flag whips. Overpriced at $20.00.
