Stripped Skidplate bolt holes - fix needed

RE: Stripped Skidplate bolt holes - fix needed
the dealer has stripped mine, twice. the only option is to drill a slightly larger hole and tap it. i'd recommend a coarse thread, less work to get it started. you may need to widen the hole in the skid plate as well if it's been twisted at all, that makes it easier to get the bolt started. I'm up to a 1/2 inch coarse thread on the rear bolts, and they've already managed to strip one of those. the steel of the frame is soft and thin, there's not a lot to bite into, which makes it easier to strip, but also easier to redo.

I ended up tapping the holes out and using Time Serts so the stock size bolts would fit. Installed Time Serts with deeper thread depth so the bolts have more to bite on to and installed them with Red Loctite so they won't spin in-out.
