Default Stock Wheel Question or observation

I just discovered something! I bought some stock 285's and wheels last week to put on my '07 with the stock rims and 265's. I have yet to mount them up on the H3, but I noticed something tonight. My stock '07 rims are a gray color with the outsides a brushed aluminum look. When I was looking at the new rims, they were the same style of wheel, but they looked to be all painted gray with no brushed look. Were there both painted rims with the entire rim painted and some with the outsides brushed aluminum? I know they made a couple different style of chrome rims, but were there different stock aluminum ones to?

Yes, from the early builds (late 05) to the 2010s there where 7 different rims that I have seen/documented as of now for the H3/H3T. There may be more with the addition of the "dealer installed" options also.

The 06-07 wheels with the clear coat and machine finish corroded terrible (around here) and I think that might have been part of the reason for the switch on 08+ models with the sparkling silver paint or powder coating.
