Default Stock rims & 37s?

Is anyone out there running stock rims and 37s ?

I'm considering not lifting and going with 37s and saving for a diesel conversion, even after I talked down about it on another thread. lol

Just want to know what people have to say about running 37s on stock rims. Need to tweak the torsion keys? Could you fit 38s with spacers?

People do it all the time, knowing if yours will rub no one will know. Some rub and some don't. I know mine rubs the swaybar on the passenger side with the stock 35's at full left lock. I'd like to go up to 37's but I don't know if it will fit in the garage with the roof rack....

I know that, that question has been asked quite a bit as I have read quite a bit on the subject.

Now here is a question that probably has not been asked as much.

Can I fit 38x13.50R17 on a stock H2. It is a 2006 w/coil springs. Based off of the notion that most people can fit 37s with little to no rub, I am going to see if i can crank the torsion bars, possibly might need a wheel spacer, and run 38x13.50r17s.....

I think they would, Tackett over on CHO stuffed some huge looking 37's (all tires vary in actual size) on his stock rims with just a torsion key lift and rear coil spacers. I definitely think it's possible.

I'm going to eventually start researching a proper torsion key lift for mine. I don't want anymore than 3-4 inches and have no desire to hack up my front diff for the Rancho lift.

In fact i think at last conversaion he said that 40s could even fit on there. Of course, how it acts in the turn......

Personally I am looking to do the same as LJ. Key it up 2-3 inches, space it level and then put the tires on it.

Tacket even gave a nice inexpensive but good way to get 2.5-3 inches of lift for about 400 bucks (not including the tires)

Yeah the Truxxx torsion. Keys claim to give 3 inches on the front and 1.25 to the rear

Exactly, I want to lift mine up a bit but nothing like a 6" suspension lift. Just something to get some bigger tires and set it apart from the few other 2's in my area!

Yeah thats me as well. I think I am going to try the 3" Truxxx keys and see if I can fit 38s under there. Probably the Nitto trail grapplers.. i'm gonna stay with the stock wheels....

Have you looked into the GM green keys? There was also another brand that had an indexed key where you could remove the center portion, turn it and you'd have even more lift. Forgot the brand though.
