Default step bar installation

I'm planning on getting a H3 next month. I'm wanting to save a little money and buy the step bars online and intall them. Do they just bolt into pre-drilled holes?

They should. I know the rock rails bolt on into factory placed weld nuts on the frame, and I know you cant have the rock rails and the tube steps on the same vehicle, unless you get the little removeable steps that cilp onto the rock rail. I would assume because of this the side steps use the same holes.

Are the holes threaded?

Yes, they should be threaded. I am going to take my OEM chrome tube steps off soon. If you want them let me know. I have only had the truck for 5 weeks so they're brand new. email me ryan@freeformed.com

Yes the frame has predrilled holes on it with a threaded nylon insert. I installed a set of step bars from xtc offroad and to be honest I really dont like them. I f anyone is interested in buying them let me know. You will have to pay shipping also which is expensive because they weigh 100lbs. They are nice looking but built for show and I like to take it offroad when I have a chance and they have gotten me hung up twice now. They sit a little bit lower than the frame. Let me know guys
