Default Steelcraft Grille Guard

Anyone have one of these? I'm curious if they have the "cages" or bars over the headlights. The description on several websites and dealers refers to removable headlight protection. I would like to have the bars over the headlights for some of the places I go I would like to protect the lights. I just don't know if they are referring to the bars or just simply that the guard is in three pieces and the section that would cover the sides is removable.

I have a Steelcraft. It's one piece. Don't get a three piece bar, you will regret it.

Seconded on don't get a three piece bar. More points for moisture to sit and start rust, and they're not as solid.

I have a black one piece Aries guard and love it, got a great deal from Kevin at Rampart Hummer.

p.s. - please tell me that's a water hose on top of the vehicle in the garage and not a recoilless rifle since your plate says fire dept :P

I think he's talking about bars in front of the lights like these on a RealWheels guard.
Steelcraft does have guards with bars for other vehicles but I have never seen these bars on a Steelcraft guard for an H3.

There are 4 styles of the Steelcraft Grille Guard that I know of and none of them have the cross bars for the headlights like the Real Wheels.

Traditional Style
Black - #50280
Stainless Steel - # 50287

Traditional Style 3 Piece (bolts together)
Stainless Steel - #50287M
Looks just like the one above but the side bars bolt on (to save on shipping costs) and its only available in stainless steel.

OE Style
Black - #50280OE
Stainless Steel - #50287OE

Winch Mount
Black - #50280WM
Stainless Steel - #50287WM

I agree about them not being as solid or rigid but in the case of the Steel Craft you don't have to worry about rust with the 3pc (its only available in Stainless Steel). I would totally agree with you though on a steel brush guard.
