Standart model rear locking diff or limited slip
Hi forum members. I was looking in the serch part of the forum for a question in ref, to the standart H3. The awnser were very elaborated but i could find a exact awnser. I have a Avalnche 1500, the truck is not 4wheel drive but the rear locking differential came as a obtion.
Do the regular H3 come with some tipe limited slip or rear lock. I undertodd that all 4 wheel drive came with limited slip or rear locking diff. The question is not in ref to offroad situations but to be able to pull my boat of a wet ramp. Thanks in advance.

RE: Standart model rear locking diff or limited slip
When the off roadies refer to a "locker", they mean an electronic (some other aftermarkets use air) locking differential to littereally lock the axel shafts together so that both tires, left and right, spin at the same speeds. This must be switched on or off and dhould not be used on pavement.
A GM limited slip or posi traction is a different animal. Clutches/gears distribute power to both axel shafts, but they are NOT locked together and can still spin at different speeds to better allow for turning on pavement or other hard surfaces.
