Default Stalling

I've seen tons of posts, typically H3's about stalling. Mine is a 2003 H2 with 106000 miles. When I press the brake when starting it dies immediately, crank it again with no brake it dies and usually fires the third time no brake pedal. It starts everytime as long as the brake pedal isn't beimg pressed down. I have a brake/ABS light on so I'm sure it's in the braking system just wanted to see if anyone has had the same issue. I don't think the power steering pump is pulling that much to stall the engine. Trying to stay out of the shop since they usually find 2500$ of work to do.

Have you scanned it and read the abs code?

This will help in pinpointing the issue. If you don't have one, buy one with the abs feature. Shouldn't cost you more than 100. It will pay for itself in no time. You will be able to fix a lot of things yourself and have a lot less $2500 bills.

Default Thank You

I think that's my next step. I just don't have the time for it to be in the shop getting scanned unless I have my wife do it on her day off, I'll end up with a new engine once they are done up-selling her. I checked at one place and they didn't have one that read ABS codes. I'll check around, thank you

I'm comfused now! Haha. I meant go to an auto parts a store like Napa, pep boys etc. Buy an obd2 scanner with the abs feature. They can be picked up on sale for $100.

Plug it in. Retrieve code info. Google code and YouTube. And you will find your issue probably 80 percent of the time.

Hope I understood you corrected and this helps.

I've checked in this area and they don't have them in stock just yet. I haven't checked all of them, Autozone doesn't for sure. I actually have one but I've has it forever so it doesn't pull ABS and trans codes

I bought the Autel MaxiScan MS300 CAN Diagnostic Scan Tool for OBDII Vehicles, from amazon about two years ago, it cost me 18.00, and it reads all the codes..check it out, it also reads and clears codes, you can't go wrong, it has helped several times with the wife's Durango, when I first bought the H2, I used it to check out memory, and found no issues. ..

Thank you I will check that out. O'Reilly's has one but it is 257. I'm sure I'll need to order one to get a better price.
