Default Stainless Steel Speedometer Overlays

I was checking these out on the internet. The same company that sells this one also sells speedometer overlays in assorted colors. Has anybody installed one of these or considered buying one? I've been toying with the idea.

I've been looking for these as well. I found someone selling the color overlays, but did not see these. Where did you find them?

On the ebay posting he references this website where I found the stainless steel overlay:

I would call them and ask how involved the install is before I purchased them.

I've done some overlay's on other vehicles for some friends. One Mustang, one Honda Accord and one Mitsubishi Galant....they weren't too hard at all. Once you get the outer trim pieces away from the cluster, you simply unscrew it from the dash and the whole thing pops out. Then, on the backside of it, more screws that allow you to remove the clear plastic shell/window. Remove some needles, lay on the overlay and put it all back together. I would assume our H3's are pretty much the same...but I guess you never know. Ask the seller to provide you with an instruction sheet and see how involved it looks.

I would shop around a bit though....that price seems a bit high compared to overlay's for other cars and it's basically the same product.

I'm sure I could do the install myself, but you're right they are pricey. I think I'll wait to do that mod.
