Default Stab trac control fail?

I've been searching through old posts but can't seem to find this issue alone.

I was driving over a patches of ice on my way home today and when I hit my brakes I just slid. My traction control light came on and said "stab trac control fail service". Every post I came across had this issue in conjunction with the abs light, where mine was just traction light only.

Any ideas? Where to begin?

Looking a little bit more and found this

https://www.hummerforums.com/forum/h...s-codes-10767/

Going to try to cycle from 4/4hi/4lo an then check the tccm and see if that helps.

Well the trac system fail went away but in the process I fount that while alternating between 4/4hi/4lo that it won't lock into 4lo. The light just keeps flashing on it but won't go steady and it won't click in like it did for the others. Also when I hit my rear did lock there is no audible noise or the light won't go steady.

Any ideas?

Was your transmission in neutral and were you going less than 3 mph when you tried to go to 4 low?

I didn't know that, but I knew the light should stay steady. I didn't try it in neutral though. Just park and all the drives.

All the instructions are in your Owner's Manual. If you don't have one they can be downloaded at hummer.com
