Default Squealing noise when clod weather...

Ok, started hearing a squealing noise in my '06 H3' a couple weeks ago. Like the belt slipping and making that squealing sound. Serpentine belt looked ok, but changed it out anyway. Seemed to get slightly quieter, but started up again. Changed the belt tensioner, and it again got slightly quieter. Now it started getting really loud the other night, when it was colder out, but today, with the temps in the 40's. not one squeak or squeal. Any known problems with the H3 on belts, or what else could be causing that squealing when the temps drop? Never heard this earlier either, this is first time ever heard this noise. Thanks in advance

Could be Idler Pulley, PS Pump, Alternater..... I have had a new none-OEM tensioner make noises before. Keep searching. I am sure you will figure it out. Let us know. Good Luck

After changing what you did already I would suspect a pulley bearing. PS alternator, etc.

Do the old school short price of garden hose trick to listen to each component. You will find that squealing bastard.

Thanks, guys. We did check pulleys, etc, to make sure they were free wheeling, but right now, there is no noise cause the weather warmed up. Will have to wait until it gets cold again to try and figure it out if it does start up again. Can't fix if you aren't getting the noise to search for.
