Default sqeuak!

I have an '08 alpha with only 23k miles on it. Just the other day i noticed a squeaking noise when i would go over small bumps in the road. I tested the suspension on some rocks to see if it was making the noise and it wasnt, i also WD-40d the suspension. I thought my off road lights would be loose and rattling, so i WD-40d them and tightened them up. I dont know whats making the noise, so if any of you have any ideas, please share them because the sound is super annoying!! Thanks

It'd help if you gave us some idea as to where the squeak is coming from!

Try your body mounts. I had a similar issue with a squeaking when the truck rocked back and forth. You are giving us very limited info to help your problem because a noise can be coming from anywhere. Noise travels and it might not sound like it is coming from where you think it is. But I would spray the body mounts and see where that gets you.

+1 on the body mounts I believe there are 8, 4 on each side and very easy to get to.

Anyone have pics of where these mounts are? What spray do you recommend, if not WD40?

I don't have any pics right now but if you get under the passenger side of truck, towards the front of the passenger front door, then look up you'll see it. Just follow them all the way around, four each side I believe. You can use either silicone or lithium grease. Lithium grease does catch for dirt, etc.

Another location for squeaks is the rear spring suspension bushings. If you do some serious off-roading, the body bushing bolts need re-tightening from time-to-time.

I had a squeek that turned out to be two bolts that had become loose at the front that hold the underbody engine protection plate, Just behind the registration plate. The plate was moving up and down on the bolts causing a squeek.
