Spelling doesn't matter

RE: Spelling doesn't matter
A new type of teaching theory called "Whole Language"for reading came outlargely in the school systems during1990sbased on this theory...that people learn to read by "site words" and repetition of seeing these words, as well as knowing their meaning. This meant throwing out the vowel/consonnant (strictly phonics)teachings (for which I somewhat disagree with.) This does explain though why almost everyone is able to read this with ease...the words are memorized in our minds basically.
